So of course the idea for this tribe immediately runs into some problems of identity. Can a male living as a woman sell out the girls? We certainly don't want double-agents. So I think we're going to have to let people decide this for themselves. Pick a gender that you identify with, that you think you have some insight into, then give up their secrets!
And yes, obviously this tribe is geared toward heterosexual relationships. We're about about treachery here, not self-deception.
Warm up your clandestine radio transmitter, pull out your code book. Drop the microfilm into the diplomatic pouch, Natasha, and begin the interrogation!

Wed, April 20, 2005 - 5:29 PMI think it has to be, because (for example) a boy would already know all the boy secrets. -

Re: Wait -- what's "gender"?
Thu, April 21, 2005 - 7:05 PMAh, a boy might only know about straight boy secrets. Whereas another boy might only know about gay boy secrets. And a boi is going to know a whole lot of secrets neither you as a male bodied and identified person, nor me as a female bodies and identified person have any clue about.
Quicky Gender 101:
SEX (what you get labeled based on what was between your legs when you were born) is NOT equal to GENDER (the roles we play, which are sometimes just plain M or F, but sometimes end up being MTF, FTM, boi, genderqueer, or any number of other identities that may or may not have to do with what is between your legs). Throw in sexual orientation and the variations and complications that encompasses and we'll have ourselves one fun time finding out other-gendered people's secrets.
I would be sorely disappointed to learn that Skippy set up this nice little tribe for heterosexuals. Since she invited me, I'm going to claim this space as distictly non-heterosexual and allow room for you and any other open minded heterosexuals who wanna play, too. So there!

Re: Wait -- what's "gender"?
Fri, April 22, 2005 - 5:04 PMYes, I am aware of these issues, that's why I started this thread ;)
Here's where I was coming from: does a gay male-identified person know different tricks than a straight male identified person? Well, yes -- but presumably two gay boys would already know all of each-other's tricks. That's why I said hetero, meaning two different genders (not sexes.) I suppose I meant "heterogender" not "heterosexual".

Fri, April 22, 2005 - 12:15 PMI'm all for waiting and seeing how people deal with the "gender" part of "gender traitors" here. To each his own.
Now, tell us your stories.
